This is truly a beautiful and colourful book that is packed with information, hints and tips, dos and don’ts, how to avoid the common mistakes, spacing issues, etc, etc.

Whatever your experience level, be prepared to learn a lot and have a lot of fun learning!! Highly recommended for accomplished calligraphers and those that are new to the art.

The Art of David Jones - Vision and Memory by Ariane Bankes and Paul Hills.

This is a fabulous book! I find myself addicted to looking at David Jones’ paintings. At first glance they often look an incomprehensible page full of marks of a similar colour and similar stroke widths. But, the more you look at them, the more you see, and the more you get drawn into the creative world of David Jones. There are also over 10 examples of his amazing lettering. Highly Recommended!

John Stevens’ New British Postage Stamp: Commissioned by the Royal Mail.

The Royal Mail has recently released a Postage Stamp that was designed by John Stevens of North Caroline over 3 years ago for their collection that is commemorating The First World War in 1916 (also referred to as ‘The Great War’).

It is a beautiful peace of work and I am thrilled that John’s entry was selected. But it annoys me is that John is not credited anywhere on the stamp. There is only a limited run of these stamps and this entry in my Newsletter is my attempt to rectify the lack of credit for the artist. I am also sending a free stamp with any order shipped anywhere in the world while stocks of this stamp last at my Post Office.

Sad News!

The second edition of The Painted Letters of Adolf Bernd is now ‘out of print’. However, I have some good news for any of you that are interested in obtaining a copy of a book of his work.

A new exhibition of the work of Adolf Bernd is in the planning stages for next year and the curators are planning a new expanded catalogue of Bernd’s work to support the exhibition.

Once I have any news about the new exhibition I will publish dates and location(s) via my newsletter. The same goes for the new catalogue and, as with the previous edition, I will open my website up so that it can take pre-orders, so please click here and register your interest.
